Where I live, there are several free family-friendly publications to choose from. Most of their articles come from community contributors so I figured this was a great chance to let people know about my sewing and online stores. When you submit an article, it’s guaranteed to be available on their website, but to my surprise, they wrote me back and asked me to expand my article for the cover story!! The issue went out yesterday and here’s a look at what they printed!
My article focused on Etsy awareness in general, highlighting my store, as well as some others I found with the “shop local” feature on Etsy. If you have these type of publications in your town, I would definitely give it a try! It’s FREE advertising!

And if some of you read the article and are wondering about my jeans, I have drawn up patterns and made muslin’s. Here’s how they’re shaping up!

(Boys on the right, girls on the left) I tried them on the kids I based them on and just need to do minor alterations before I make a real pair for them to test. As they’re testing, I’ll be grading the patterns for various sizes and once I know they work – I’ll start production!

  1. Woohoo, Jaimegirl! I’m so excited for you! Way to go on the kids’ jeans, too. How smart to find a need and fill it! You rock!

  2. Those look great! Any chance you do them in ‘big girl’ sizes too??? Perferably the double digit size that makes you look like a single digit? LOL. Way to go!
