Hi Friends, I have some fun news to share with you today. Several weeks back I was contacted via Etsy convo by someone saying she was a buyer for Zulilly. I had a mixture of reactions – initially I let out an audible and gleeful, “HA!” Then the rational side of me rushed in and said, ‘Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight…a buyer for Zulilly…is this a scam?!” But indeed, it was not a scam, and truly she is a buyer for Zulilly.com!

Tarah and I spoke on the phone the next day and she mentioned she was interested in the Maggie Mae. Of course I was thrilled since Maggie Mae is my absolute most favorite design. I contacted Shauna from ShwinDesigns to double-triple check it was OK to use her pattern for the Zulilly event and she was very gracious and encouraging. Then I looked at my fabric and thought the Geekly Chic Fabrics from Riley Blake Designs would make adorable Maggie Maes so I got to work!

I had picked up some of this chambray from F&M Fabrics just a few weeks before and thought it would work well with the Yellow Glasses. I also got my buttons there. All the dresses had to be made before the event was scheduled so I was in production for about 2 weeks making 33 tunics – 30 to sell and 3 as samples to mail to them for photography.

Samples were in the mail 2 weeks ago and I got word last week that the Maggie Maes would be included in today’s Trend Talk City Kids’ Boutique!

Zulilly is a great place to get a super deal on your favorite brands. And you’ll want to grab these Maggie Mae’s through them since they are almost 50% off retail!! Anything that remains will be listed in my Etsy shop for full retail price.

So I would love it if you would help me spread the word!

And if you’re a boutique owner interested in working with Zulilly, you can apply right here. The people at Zulilly were great to work with and they are interested in helping small boutique owners grow – so check it out – it may be a good opportunity for you too!
