Badgley Mischka Jacket – A-MA-ZING!

It has been a LOOoonng time since I made a garment for myself. In the shuffle of weddings and quilting and family and work life, it was just not an option. BUT, since I’m oh-so-close to being out of “sewing debt,” as I’ve come to call it (crossing those last few items off my “must-do” list before I can get to the to focus on Etsy), I figure a celebratory garment is in order. Mostly, because I’ve found a wonderful little jacket pattern from Vogue. In the summer, it gets HOT, but work attire calls for no tank-tops (understandably!). To obey this rule, I usually wear a tank under a short-sleeved sweater of some type. Well I saw this jacket and fell in love, especially with the detail! Though I love designer looks, I’m not often confident enough to wear them. However, this little number has such divine subtle details, on the surface it just looks like a jacket, but then you look closer at the sleeve…wow! and then the ruffle in the collar…fun & feminine! So I can’t wait…next weekend the Vogue patterns go on sale for 3.99, so I’m hoping to swipe this one up and keep it in view as my motivation to complete my list!
