I’m so excited to share with you the inaugural pattern from Striped Swallow Designs!
I was chosen to test this pattern and it will be ready for release very soon so be sure to like their facebook page so you can be one of the first to know! The Coachella Shorts are low-rise girls shorts with a fun piecing detail that works well with all kinds of trim. You could use pom pom trim, lace, bias tape – anything really – to spruce them up and make them truly one of a kind each time you make them!
I chose a soft chambray from F&M Fabrics and a giant pink rick rack I had on hand from Pick Your Plum.
The back fits well and with no pockets, you can construct these shorts in a flash!
The 1″ wide waistband is secure and comfortable. As soon as my DD woke up from her nap and put them on, I couldn’t get them off of her! She absolutely loved them. I definitely see more Coachella shorts this summer and with sizes 12 months through size 12 included, they just may be a staple summer pattern for years to come.
