It’s no secret that I love the new explosion of independent designers producing .pdf patterns I can print at home and sew the same day.  So I was excited at the opportunity to chat with Jen at Tie Dye Diva Patterns and try out one of her patterns. My DD and I chose the Daydreamer Dress from her extensive online catalog and I knew the Riley Blake Little Red Riding Hood fabric would be adorable for this style. This dress was so fun to sew up! Did you notice? There are no closures! That’s right – no buttons, no zipper, no velcro! The front waistband is self-faced so there are no scratchy seams to bother your persnickety princess.  The only gathering is the bottom flounce since elastic does the job for you at the neckline. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the pattern pieces are part printout and part rotary cutting.  Sizing is from 2T to 9/10 and would make a great summer staple.
