Monkeys!

Well, I had prepared myself for the whims of a toddler and for the fact that little “Bubbers” may never put on his monkey ears, and alas, he did not. BUT, here’s the monkey costume I made for him. We snuck the hat on quick-like as he was sipping some milk, but you can see that…

We snuck the hat on quick-like as he was sipping some milk, but you can see that swift hand reaching up to pull it off. That’s it – the only picture we got with the hat on. 🙂Halloween 2009 009 - Copy

All in all, we had a lot of fun. He was very good at putting his candy in his bag and saying “thank you” to those who gave it to him. Sweet boy.

Just a quick word on the Simplicity pattern I used – it runs VERY Small. If you use it in the future, be sure to go by measurements and not age/sizes. I made the size two because I had read a pattern review that said they ran small and boy am I glad I did! If you would want it to be a 2 year costume, you’d have to really make it large – Tyler’s fit just right.  How was your Halloween?
