New Shop at 1000 Markets
I don’t know if you all have heard of it, but several members of my CCCOE (California Crafter’s Club of Etsy) Group are signing up with 1000 Markets – “…a community of marketplaces, large and small, connecting artisan merchants with the people who love their products.” So I figured, why not? I don’t know if you all have heard of it, but several members of my CCCOE (California Crafter’s Club of Etsy) Group are signing up with 1000 Markets – “…a community of marketplaces, large and small, connecting artisan merchants with the people who love their products.”
So I figured, why not? And jumped on the bandwagon. There are no initial listing fees and they use Amazon Payments exclusively. When an item sells, you are charged 50 cents and 5.5%. This may seem high, but if you are Etsy relisting and relisting in order to stay at the top of the searched listings, you are paying more than 20 cents for listing anyway. As far as I can tell, it’s relatively new so I don’t know much more about it, but diversifying can’t be bad and you only pay when you sell something so that works for me.
Similar to Etsy teams (in a way), you can join different “markets”. For instance, CCCOE requested a California Crafter’s Club Market so that those of us who open a shop there can stay connected. You can leave comments for other shop owners on their wall, blog about your product and I’m sure there’s more!
The address for your personal shop is the same format as Etsy – my 1000 Markets shop link is http://www.jaimesews.1000markets.com/. Check it out!
AND – while I’m here, I may as well let you know about some giveaways I’m aware of:

- Win a modern necklace from Timothy Adam Designs. This one also ends the end of October so hurry over there! He’s giving 2 necklaces away every month till the end of the year!
Jaimie,>>We are excited to have you at 1000 markets (www.1000markets.com). Thanks for the nice post.>>Matt Trifiro>CEO, 1000 Markets
Thanks for the headsup on 1000 Markets. The site looks great. I believe your items will do well.
Looks great! Best of luck to you!
If there is one on there that you like just tell me which one. If you want a totally custom card just let me know colors, theme (snowman, Christmas trees, etc.) and a style (traditional, modern, funky, etc.) I will create a proof and then you can email me your pictures. The prices are the same for both until I get my templates built up. >>I have set up a PayPal account although I have not used it yet and really don't even know how. Otherwise, if you are local (& I think you are) then I can take a personal check (and there is always cash). >>Once your payment is processed I can email you the .jpg and you can print it where ever you would like or I can print for you. The current printing costs are listed on my blog. >>If you have any other questions just let me know.
