Have you heard about Kids Clothes Week?!kid's clothes week

The idea is to take one hour a day for seven days and work on the kids clothing projects you’ve set aside, been planning to do but just haven’t, or are aspiring to do! Just one hour. Ok, you can work more than one hour, but there’s no pressure. It’s a just.do.it. kind of challenge.  Learn more about it on their FAQ page and then go follow the blog for inspiration leading up to KCW!

The winter session is Jan 27 – Feb 3 (KCW occurs once a quarter) so here’s what I’m planning {this post contains some affiliate links}:

Last Summer, I signed up on a facebook page to do a fall clothing swap. It was great fun and I made a good friend across the country because of it. The sad part was, the person who was supposed to send us a garment never did send anything. I promised my son I would make him some spidey-inspired jammies, which was what she promised to send, to make up for it. I have everything I need to dig in. The Alex & Anna PJ’s from Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop and some Sew Classic Knits in just the right colors from JoAnn’s. I also got this pretty rad iron on transfer off ebay.

The other project I’d like to at least start that week is a sweatshirt for my daughter from one of these wonderful girlcharlee sweatshirt knits (the top two shown in the picture below). They are both still in stock and on SALE for $2.45/yd at writing! WOW! Search under knit/fleece.

Winter KCW Plans | JaimeSewsI posted a while back on my facebook page trying to get opinions on what pattern to use, but I’m still debating. Click here to see the options and chime in! I need your help!

So that’s my plan for KCW Winter 2014! Will you join us? What do you plan to work on? If you make something, or if you just want some inspiration, go to www.kidsclothesweek.com to post your projects and see what everyone else is up to. KCW is also on Facebook.
