Ok, seeing as how I sew, I always wish I were a bit more stylish…a little more funky. But I always have trouble achieving that since I always seem to be sewing for someone else! However, I have come across this adorable tutorial for making a belt from the Juicy Bits Blog, and although I haven’t sewn it (yet!), it looks totally doable in an afternoon, right?!? And a belt is oh-so-less of a committment than an entire skirt or outfit made from Amy Butler (or other) fabrics so I think this just hits the spot!

FYI – I found the Juicy Bits Blog from the Sew Mama Sew Blog. It’s a constant source of tutorials and inspiration. They even have a fabric store so if you see a project you like, print it out, click over to the fabric section and shop, shop, shop!

Oh, and, p.s. – Juicy Bits is doing a giveaway…be sure to go to the blog for details!

  1. Love your blog’s new look! I know what you mean about always sewing for someone else…I feel like I sew all the time, and have nothing to show for it. 🙂 Good luck with the belt. Can’t wait to see what fabrics you choose!

  2. I love love love the new blog look! I was just thinking that I was tiered of my pink, maybe I will switch to your poka dots now that your not using it. The quilts were all to the same person, she had bought one on Sunday too. I kinda wonder what she’s doing with them all, but o’well, I’ll take the sales.

  3. I have to have one of those belts. That is so adorable!!! Once you have finished yours, you must let me know how much I will be paying you for one.~Candi

  4. I would be interested in a belt too! I love your blog! How did you get your store items on the side like that?
